Description
By 1994, the Beastie Boys were moving away from sampling and towards live instruments, embracing their roots as a hardcore band. No where they did succeed better than on “Sabotage,” Ill Communication’s raucous barnburner of a lead single. But, drawing on diverse influences — hip-hop, jazz, punk, funk and more — the album is packed with highlights, from the flute-driven “Sure Shot” to the Q-Tip-assisted “Get It Together.” We’ve got it in a remastered 180g double-gatefold 2LP reissue overseen by the Beasties themselves.
